"Change is made by people - but people are more effective when they have well-engineered tools that suit their purposes."

Hugh Burkhardt called in today and drew my attention to his new web site which is designed to help those active in the systematic improvement of education in mathematics. The site features:

• the challenges that are barriers to progressm,
  
• strategies to help people to use a range of tools to engineer effective changes, and
  
• the tools for the job.

The Toolkit is designed for the US context with its many school systems - but seems to have much that is relevant here.
