You are in: Post16 Analysis Competition > The selection process
Each year, we have 150 set of samples to send to schools. Schools who indicate on the reply form that they would like 7 teams or under to take part in the competition are sent 1 set of samples. Schools who indicate they would like 7 teams or more to take part in the competition are sent 2 sets of samples. No schools are sent more than 2 sets of samples.
If we receive more applications for the competition than we have samples, the following selection process is used:
1 Schools that haven't participated before get a place.
2 Previous winners get a place.
3 The remaining places are filled in order of receipt of the entry form.
4 Centres who requested 2 sets last year but sent back a limited number of results only get 1 set of samples.
5 Centres that requested samples last year but didn't return results are excluded (unless they have responded with an explanation as to why no results were returned).
