Nuffield Curriculum Centre
The Nuffield Foundation is currently developing a set of resources based on the Graded Assessment in Mathematics (GAIM) materials that were produced with Nuffield support in the 1980s.
The resources will have been piloted in schools, and ready for publication on our website by autumn 2010.
These resources are carefully designed to match the Key Stages 3 and 4 (age 11-16) National Curriculum specifications for England.
At the same time, Bowland maths is producing shorter tasks to assess key processes, and two CPD modules aimed at developing teachers’ assessment practices. Nuffield AMP and Bowland maths are launching their materials in tandem as a complete package for teaching and assessing key processes. The Secondary National Strategy will feature both the Nuffield and Bowland project materials in subject leader development meetings in autumn 2010.
