At the moment LSS resources and the linked web site are only available to schools who have attended a Learning Skills for Science training course, run by the Science Learning Centres.

Following the success of the Key Stage 4 Learning Skills for Science pilot, we have embarked on a new subject specific Learning Skills for Science project with the Gatsby Science Enhancement Project to support skills development at Key Stage 5.
By August 2008, activities which develop the skills for:
• Listening and observing
• Scientific reading
• Data representation
• Scientific writing
• Knowledge presentation
will be available written in the context of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Applied Science and Science in Society ‘A’ level qualifications.
We will announce the training events for teachers wishing to use these materials in the Summer term this year.
Teachers wishing to take part in trialling activities should complete the form opposite.
