International Luncheon presentation gives food for thought
Author: David Barlex

The International Luncheon presentation at the annual ITEA conference is a must attend event and this year it featured Stephen Petrina from the University of British Columbia describing his latest research project.

This is an ambitious endeavour to look at the way people of different ages learn to use new technologies. The aim of the study is to develop a conceptual framework for researching technology across the lifespan. As a teacher you might be able to mirror his study with your students asking them to reflect on the way that they, their parents and grandparents learn to use the latest hand held communication devices, new features on the Internet and the latest electronic products.
