Daffodils by Lucy HollisThe Nuffield Council on Bioethics is inviting specialist science and humanities schools to take part in a consultation on dementia this summer. A science teacher and one other from each school are invited to attend a free training day on 22 May on how to run an ethical debate on this tricky topic (teaching cover provided).
After putting this into practice in the classroom, teachers will feed the views of their students back to the Council in July. The initiative aims to encourage cross-curricula teaching of ethics, and give students a genuine chance to take part in policy making in the UK. The Council can accommodate 20 schools in this initial project. If you are interested in taking part, click here for further details.
