Jenny Wales presents a paper at the International Association for Citizenship, Social and Economic Education conference in Tartu, Estonia.

Jenny Wales and Jacek Brant of the Institute of Education presented a paper at the IACSEE conference in Estonia. They discussed the impact the pedagogy of Citizenship and Enterprise can have on the rest of the curriculum, in the context of the current review of the curriculum. Both curriculum areas have participative, active, investigative, problem solving approaches which are key to the way the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority aims to move education forward. In the context of themed learning Citizenship and Enterprise could therefore take the lead in transforming learning and moving schools forward.

The paper was well received and much interest was shown by delegates from many countries, particularly those which have a less participative civics curriculum.
